JOEPETERSON
Lieutenant General, United States Army, Retired

Board of Advisors

The first person of Hawaiian ancestry to wear the three stars of an Army lieutenant general retired after 38 years service.   He served multiple high-impact assignments that included DCG Forces Command and Commander of a Police Assistance Training Team in Iraq.  Peterson, a trainer at heart, was responsible for training 120,000 Iraqi civil servants: border and customs personnel, policemen on the block and fireman for the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior.  Joe and his life-long sweetheart/wife Ann live in Lillian, AL when not engaged in extensive volunteer activities that support our nations active duty military and veterans.

Mr. Levy has more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership positions focused on the Federal and State & Local markets. With a history of successful experience and business acumen, combined with a long term commitment to the Federal Agencies, Mr. Levy brings both leadership perspective and operational excellence to Talmadge's Board of Advisors, as Board they continue build out their Government practice.

As an active member of the Board of Advisors Member Mr. Levy will be advising the Talmadge leadership team on the complex challenges as the Agencies and State & Local Governments define their needs for renewable energy within their domains.

Previously, Mr. Levy served in leadership roles with companies across the Aerospace and Defense market most recently, Northrop Grumman where he managed a team of both Business Development and Engineering deployed teams supporting the Military and S&L programs from the Mid West to Australia with a major emphasis in the Pacific Rim where NGC was deployed under contract. Prior to NGC, Mr. Levy held similar roles with EMC, Oracle, Tandem and Storage Technology along with three early phase companies in the Silicon Valley of California.

JOHNFORBUS
Board of Advisors

Retired as Vice President of Planning from PEC Government Solutions.  Mr. Forbus was responsible for advancing strategic corporate development initiatives for the company, helping to broaden PEC's federal and state and local government client base, and selected commercial markets.  Prior to joining PEC, John was Vice President and General Manager of the Information Solutions Division of Delfin Systems, where he was responsible for developing and managing a business unit providing integrated systems solutions for government and private sector clients.  From 1966 through 1986, he held a variety of senior technology development and management positions with the federal government.

MIKEMcGUINN
Brigadier General, United States Army, Retired

BG Mike McGuinn is a retired Regular Army officer with an active service career that spanned over 28 years three and major wars. He served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII and later earned battle stars as an Army officer in the Korean War and then then again in the Vietnam War. As a career Army officer, his assignments ranged from Military Police Lieutenant to Armored unit Commander to duty at the Pentagon. They included foreign service as a Military Attache’ to Denmark during the Cold War years, a tour of duty with the British Army, a posting as Secretary General Staff to Headquarters, Continental Army Command during the Cuban Missile Crisis and service as Chief of Transportation of a Joint Forces Command before he retired from federal military service in the rank of Colonel.

After retirement from active military service, BG McGuinn served under Governor Jimmy Carter as an organizational trouble shooter in various positions such as State Fuel Allocation Officer during the Arab Oil Embargo crisis, as Assistant Commissioner of Corrections and later as Deputy Commissioner of Community Affairs. It was during this period he joined the Georgia State Defense Force where he served initially as Operations Officer and subsequently as Chief of Staff before being promoted to his current rank of Brigadier General.
